Joel Cage w/Jim Hall opening
“One man, one voice, one sixty-something year old Gibson arch-top, a sonic landscape, and a bunch of amazing songs. Joel puts on a show you are sure you will never see again. Every time.”
— Ray Brady, Dedham Square Coffeehouse
Joel Cage is an award-winning singer-songwriter. Once a member of the internationally acclaimed rock & roll group Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Joel has been performing nationally as a soloist for the past two decades. He won top prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, and was the winner of the USA Songwriter’s Competition three times.
Those prone to comparison will liken Joel to Chris Smither, Richie Havens, Bruce Cockburn, or an acoustic Pete Townshend. Most frequently he gets compared to Stephen Stills. However, you can’t compare Joel Cage to any other player – he stands alone. His command over his guitar is incredible – he’s an original – completely subsumed by the instrument. What you get is a one-of-a-kind experience. Don’t miss it.
